Notable animal species in the Glentrool area include:

How to get there
Driving From the west – follow the A75 heading towards Newton Stewart. Before reaching Newton Stewart take a left turn heading for A714 towards Bargrennan. At Bargrennan take the right hand turn to Glentrool Village. Once you have passed Glentrool village there is a turning immediately on the right hand side for Glentrool visitor centre.
Driving from the east – follow the A75 towards Newton Stewart. After the roundabout at Newton Stewart take a right hand turn heading to the A714 towards Bargrennan. At Bargrennan take the right hand turn to Glentrool Village. Once you have passed Glentrool village there is a turning immediately on the right hand side for Glentrool visitor centre.
Public transport: 359 bus operator King of Kirkcowan. Newton Stewart Girvan, Ayr, Glasgow.
