Due to its latitude and the warming effects of the Gulf Stream Dumfries and Galloway has, arguably, the widest range of flora and fauna in the UK and quite possibly well beyond.
The list below shows you what species are around, or at their best during Autumn (Sep - Nov) in Dumfries and Galloway.
Go to the excellent resource at www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/index.aspx for more information on the above species.
