Wild Autumn Festival

This festival will give you the best chance to get close up and personal to a number of iconic autumn species, such as red deer, red squirrels, red kites.  Its also a time when we will be welcoming back thousands of migratory geese to the Solway, which will stay with us throughout the winter.  Checkout the events link to the left of this page for more details.

New Eco Bothies open!

The Galloway Activity Centre is proud to announce the opening of their fantastic new Eco Bothies. The Bothies are off-grid modular pods designed and manufactured locally by Architect Sam Booth of "Echo" Eco Houses. The Eco Pods were featured on series 1 of Channel 4's "George Clarke’s amazing spaces" program. We are proud to say that our two Bothies on the banks of Loch Ken are Sam’s first off the production line.
